Manifesting GREATNESS : Jhenè Aiko story

I had to share this story with you guys ! This is something that can affect everyone being that it is a motivational / inspirational thing that can give you hope and perseverance . 

At 7 months pregnant I remember driving down the street and having this random feeling . I called my fiancé and said " Babe , I am going to do Jhenè Aiko's makeup . I know that my hand can create what she wants and I think she will appreciate my artistry / style ." I claimed it and moved on with my day . 

Now ,  a lot of people don't know this but I was in a makeup funk of not wanting to be an artist anymore . I wanted to just curl up in a ball and throw my brushes to the waste side . I was wanting something more and wanted to give up . Well they tell you when you feel like giving up , KEEP GOING ! Usually its the " enemy " trying to make it to where you can't receive your blessing . I stood strong , I would call my sister and cry and tell her I want to quit and just go back to school . I am mentally & physically tired and I want to be left alone . With that being said , I would still go out and bless people with feeling beautiful and exchange energy because my spirit wouldn't allow me to stop . Something was whispering " keep going , its not over ..." 

Hanging on when you feel you've given your all is sometimes very draining . If you hear that little voice encouraging you , I encourage you to keep on going like its suggesting . I continued to hang on and the unimaginable happened . That thing that was telling me to hang on was for a reason. I get a phone call from Jhenès team and they wanted me to do makeup for her music video . I looked at my phone and laughed because I remember about 5 months prior I was saying I want to work with this soul ! Not only is she talented but her spirit , her spirit is AWAKE and alert . A lot of people can understand what I mean by that and others may think I am speaking another language lol . 

The day comes where I have to do her makeup and I wasn't nervous , I knew I was suppose to be there and I knew my spirit was comfortable and ready to express itself . We exchange energy and I tell her the same story that I am sharing with you and she laughs . We keep working on more projects and creating . Last  night , as I was getting her ready for her show in Los Angeles , CA . I was excited and just kept playing that moment when I called my fiancé and claimed what I wanted and what my soul was trying to tell me . 

I am looking at this soul on stage perform and express herself with a crowd full of people who are able to relate and exchange feelings , emotions , and energy . Her band plays their instruments doing their souls purpose and everyone is vibe'n'.   As I look up at her perform I can't help but tell God " thank you " very softly under my breath . Working closely with someone who knows them self and they touch so many souls on a spiritual level is an amazing thing . 

I am sharingl this in hopes to inspire someone . ANYTHING is achievable , but you have to be willing to take risks & hustle extremely hard . My social life comes 4th in line to everything . You can ask all my friends , they know that my work is my everything along with my family and they respect it . It takes sacrifice and perseverance with a whole lot of powerful prayers and thinking clearly / positive. Its not a trend , its a lifestyle that I encourage everyone to take part of . There is power in working on yourself and bringing to life all your dreams . You HAVE to start with working on who you are as a person . Thats how the game goes . Doing makeup , I get to make people feel pretty but I love doing makeup to meet other spirits , thats what keeps me inspired . Its a blessing and I am forever grateful for this life journey I am on .

My favorite time of the year is here ! Halloween ! This is hands down my fav because I get to be creative with no limits but most of all I get to be creative on others with no limits! This first look I created is just very pretty & delicate. I call her " flower child " ! She is a pretty little hippie who loves good energy & pretty makeup ! 

I will be booking client this year for Halloween but I will be limiting myself to only 5 clients for the day/night.

Product Haul -

Ok Yesterday I decided to grab a few new products . I switched up my location and went to Sephora ( for once in my life ) ! I have my makeup store I usually always go to but wanted a variety of higher end products ! Lets get to Reviewing !! I'll go 1 by 1 from left to right as the photo is set up . 

YSL Touche Ecla ( Radiant Touch ) High Lighter : 

Now I know this is an older product but I've tried  lots and lots of highlighters and finally got my hands on this little fella ! They have a range of about 8 highlighter sticks which is amazing ! The price is $41.00 U.S dollars . Not that bad for the quality you are getting ! This product is made for highlighting the brow bone as well as under eyes , forehead, chin , and cupids bow . You can apply with a beauty blender which is what I like or you can dab with your finger . First apply your regular concealer, right after apply this product to highlight the areas you want to look brighter in . It was originally made for runway models so you could imagine the finish . Nice and  creamy with a beautiful healthy glow ! I personally don't like when my skin is caked up so this is a perfect product for me !!

Benefit Fake Up : Now this is one concealer I restocked on !  I love love loveeeee this for the daytime ! It is VERY hydrating ! It has this interesting hydration ring around it which is Vitamin E & Apple seed extract . The concealer is in the middle ! I also apply this directly on my skin than bounce out with a  beauty blender . I don't need to wet the beauty blender because its already a very hydrating product . Use this under the YSL Touche product ;) This is $24.00 U.S dollars . Not too bad at all and lasts a long time ! 

Sephora brand lip Gloss : "My lip Gloss is Poppin " … I love love love this lip gloss ! I usually buy all my glosses from MAC but really wanted to break some habits and try Sephora for once ! I bought a nude one since my lips already have a natural pink tone to them I just like to gloss them up for day to day things .I bought a neutral gloss in " Beige Craze " mmmm its super bomb ! Only runs for $14.00 U.S Dollars and comes in a good sized bottle !

Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara : Mascara Mascara Mascara -  I was also on a hunt for a new mascara ! I decided to also try Sephora brand product . Now I usually us Loreal mascara but I love to experiemnt . One of my all time favorite mascaras though is " They're Real" by Benefit but it drys out veryyyyy quickly and is a pretty penny to purchase ( bummer ) . I grabbed " Outrageous Volume " mascara and I love it ! This product is $15.00 U.S dollars and actually works good for the everyday working woman. I love the rubber brush it has on the end and it separates very well ! Comes in Black , Jet Black & blue !

Growing at ease ...

We all have to grow in life , with that being said we all have to have certain lessons thrown at us . These lessons help us get to where it is we need to go . I recently came across some old photos of myself and was amazed at the way I carried myself as well as the way I spoke . Negative & classless . To see the person I have become today is amazing to me but it took me to having to bring up old memories to see that growth . I am spiritually mature enough to know that I was spiritually growing . Yes my physical body was growing but my spirit was at a serious war . Every day we are at war . Everyday we are growing more and more into a beautiful butterfly . Let the transition take its course . If you are willing to have God take control of your life , indeed the universe will work with you and help you with that transition . Keep in mind , IT TAKES TIME! I went through a 3 year relationship and looking back I can finally see that my Ex was my preparation for the woman I am today ! Its a beautiful thing . I remember sitting and talking to my girlfriends about how I felt it was time for me to leave my relationship because I've learned everything God wanted me to learn from this person. Now in the moment did I know I was going through a big transition ? Of course not . This person was preparing me for battle , the battle was me growing into my higher self . This is a very very difficult thing to overcome . I began to look at the world differently , I began to strengthen my gift of discernment ( Thank you GOD! ) With all of this being said , I want to tell anyone who is going through something to HOLD ON TIGHT and just know that you are probably going through a huge  growth process . Just trust that God is creating situations that will teach you a lesson which will make you a very strong person at the end of it all. Looking back at my life thus far I see exactly why I went through the things I did . Cliche but it made me the person I am today . Be a warrior and nothing less ! Trust your journey , trust your struggle , embrace every moment and live for RIGHT NOW !

Tutorial Tuesday !!!

Woo Hooooooo ! Lets learn Eyelashes today !!!

Ok dolls, today I am releasing a video on applying eyelashes . A lot of my clients have trouble with this and give up . When in all actuality its not difficult at all , they just need a step by step break down. There are eyelash serums you can use as well as  protein to help your lashes grow. The way to pick good mascara is by looking at the brush . The brush is usually the part that means the most . I always look for a full one thats nice and round. I will list a few mascaras that I love below :) Watch the tutorial in the tutorial section and see if you can challenge yourself :) Enjoy !!!
