New year / New hobbies !

I've always been super inspired by photographs. The emotion, angles, contrast, everything! When I look out into the world, specifically nature, I am in awe with the shades & contrast we try and recreate in everyday life. God is the source of our creativity & it's amazing how as humans we are inspired by his shades, tones, lights, in everything we see. My two bestfriends ( fiancé & Amber ) are both great at photography ! All three of us seem to have been picking up our cameras lately. I was the last one to jump on the boat but I love sharing what we've all captured for the day! It's a new hobby that I picked up this year and literally everyday I can't wait to go out into the world and live so that I can capture SOMETHING for the day. I love art , i love being creative. Welcome to a new piece of me that I'm sharing with you :)

Pumpkin Patch Visit

It's my favorite time of the year and I HAD to get into a pumpkin patch ASAP!  I was so anxious, I was checking for some to be open in September ( thirst is too real ) lmbo! So this was Peaces first time at the patch! Being that she is only 1 , entertainment was very limited but enough for her to not want to leave. I googled best pumpkin patches in LA and reviewed that " Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch" was the best ! Located at : 10100 Jefferson Blvd. Culver City, CA! 

Parking was easy , it is $3 or you can find street parking but I wasn't trying to drag Peace down the street just to save a few bucks lol. Entry was FREE and you just have to buy tickets for events. We explored the petting zoo which was great! Peace met a friend lol this little black baby goat was rubbing his head on her belly than tried eating her clothes lol. Innocent fun he was just a baby :) Peace had me drag her in the wagon and boy was that a nightmare getting her out of there or even stopping lol. My child LOVES rides ! When we go to the grocery store she gets mad when the cart stops because she thinks it's a ride lol. So when we got her in the wagon to pick pumpkins it was a wrap lol !! We walked around some and just enjoyed ourselves ! I recommend this to other moms hands down! Face painting , food , animals. They were also setting up more entertainment which we will come back to visit closer to Halloween day! Enjoy the pics and thanks for visiting the blog !

New Makeup Work !!!

Ok so this project was really fun but also very HOT! It was about 100+ degrees outside omg we all wanted to die lol! Good thing we had trailers to chill in from time to time shoooottttt lol!

Peace Marie's 1st Birthday Party !

Happy Birthday to my baby doll! We had a really good time at her party and lots of people came out to celebrate with us! Rock Paper Details does all of our parties and this was by far the best 1 year old party I've ever been to if I must say so myself! The theme was Wizard of OZ which was really cute because my mother in law brought up the fact that the movie has a lot of positive inspiring things throughout the movie. DIY - Peace's flower basket ( B-Day Pics)

Hey everyone!!!!

I wanted to share a really easy DIY on Peace's birthday basket she was sitting in. She loved this basket so much and now we just keep it in her room and throw random stuff in it. To make the basket it only took me about 45 minutes to an hr. so make sure you have time to sit and create :) 

All right, here we go.....

I bought a basket from World Market ( Favorite store in the whole world !!! ) Before purchasing, I put Peace inside at the store and she didn't want to get out lol! It was really cute! I wanted to make sure she could fit comfortably. Link above but here is a picture also. 

The following products are ALL from Michaels, each item is linked :)) 

Wire Cutters $8.99

Green Floral Wire : $1.99

(Comes in different sizes, I bought the thinest wire so its lest noticeable)

Flowers - Grab whichever you like :) I grabbed lighter colors just because they are my favorite.

Steps : 

Cut Wire with wire cutters to attach to flowers and basket - 

Trim flower stems so that you can wrap them around basket. 

Take your flowers & wire, wrap wire around the flower and weave the wire in and out of the basket, positioning the flowers against the basket. 

Add as many flowers as you'd like and do the same thing around the whole basket 

All done :))

Happy 1st Birthday Peace!!!!!!!

OMG! I cannot believe it has been a  full year from me having Peace. This has been the toughest/ most beautiful 12 months of my life. Lots of new things I had to learn, from tapping into another side of myself to learning the ropes of a new person who is constantly growing and watching your every move. I could go on and on about how much she's changed my life but just know, having a child is no joke. They force you to learn about yourself if you're open and willing to change. They force you to work on yourself and they force you to keep growing. Its a tough job but the best job I will ever have!

Anklet Release !!!!!

Peace and I decided to create one of our favorite things !! Anklets!!! We hand make these and we love to wear them with sandals & tennis shoes! We do recommend that moms who have young children WATCH them while wearing the anklet so that they do not rip off and put in their mouth. We created 4 different styles that can be found under the SHOP button above :) 

Bike riding in Venice with Peace was so fun! We literally rented a bike for only $9/ hr and she was in heaven! Waving at everyone, saying hi to the dogs, it was the cutest thing ever. Celsius + Empowering Workouts !

Heyyyyy! So many of you have seen me post this new drink called Celsius on my instagram page before my workouts. I love this drink so much and I wanted to share it with everyone so you can get familiar with this product. I get asked a lot of questions so here goes all the answers. Before I do my own review, I want to share some brief details on it.

Now with all that good stuff being said, lets jump into my weight lose journey. Once I had the baby, I looked down and said " how am I going to lose this 60 lbs. that I gained!?" I was so  nervous but instead of hiding out, I started working out with my friends and they encouraged me to do it! I would do weekly workouts such as; Soul Cycle , Modo Yoga, Hot 8 Yoga, Hiking, Gym, circuit training and my latest obsession is running using my Nike App. (The nike app is really fun because you're keeping track of your run and always trying to beat your last record.) Ok so I lost 50lbs. but that last 10 was the hardest to get off! Thats when I started drinking celsius. I was meeting up to workout with my girlfriend Caroline and she asked me "have you tried this drink?" I saw it before but I didn't have the chance to pick one up yet. I follow Russell Simmons on instagram and I figured " well, we have similar lifestyles, I should give it a try" from then I fell in love lol. I lost my last 10lbs. of weight recently and I do think it has a lot to do with my eating lifestyle which is vegan as well as celsius, the balance of all these things put together. I have a lot more energy when working out and the 100 calories you burn from just drinking it before your workout is such a perk! I literally power through my workouts and I don't want to stop lol! Its funny actually lol! 

My girlfriends and I get together 1-2 times a week to workout, we drink our celsius and catch up before working out. I think having friends to encourage you and workout with you on a weight lose journey is such a blessing! My friend Mariah is a yoga instructor and runs, than Caroline is a beast with the workout classes and is an amazing actress. We always get together and make one another feel powerful with planting seeds of encouragement while staying fit and healthy. We keep one another on our toes in every area and work through the hard and celebrate the good. Always keeping Mind, Body, and spirit in alignment!! We will be doing " Empowerment workouts" for women soon so keep your eyes peeled :) I think everyone women should experience the bond we have when working towards greatness with women who have your back! 

We all enjoy wearing nike women clothing while working out. For moms, trying to lose their baby weight, I recommend using their high waisted pants because your workout will be a lot more comfortable. It will hold in your baby gut which takes time to disappear!!!

African " Mother, Hunter" Shoot

I have been waiting so so long for this shoot to come about! I kept having to put it off because of the weather and finally I said F it! We are waking up at 7am and knocking this out! I dragged my good friend Chris and we were on our marry way ! Peace was such a trooper! It was SO HOT outside omg Idk how we did it but I was so determined to release this creation from my body. This location is in Malibu, CA. You park your car and than have to walk about a mile through these dream homes and the gem is waiting right there for you to enter. Its like a magical land. I was super sad that we are in a drought because usually you can walk to 3 different waterfalls and can hear & smell the water ... but.... no water :( All dried out . I keep hearing this El Nino is coming and if thats the case, let that sucker pour because I'm a nature woman and I need my waterfalls back lol. The hike is about 2 miles and we just explored. Lots of animals, trees, sun, and just one with nature. ( Almost got attacked by 2 horses!) I recommend stepping away from the city and being in nature from time to time for balance. 

What inspired me to do an African mother / Daughter shoot was of course my recent trip to Durban, South Africa, but also,  just being a mom and working hard for what I want. I have so many dreams that I want to achieve as I'm sure most moms do. It takes a strong, courageous mom to be a mother and a hunter. A hunter meaning, a woman who goes out her way and gets what she wants for herself, depending on no man, only using him as a complement to who she already is. A woman who listens to her intuition and doesn't let anything stand in her way. A woman who has dreams so big, nothing can stop her. 

I have dreams that I want to fulfill for myself and spirit but also for my daughter. I want to give her a life she deserves. Traveling the world with my baby is very important to me. I want her to experience different ways of living. Meet different children, see different ways of being and to have an open mind. Creating art for our blog around the world is the most exciting to me right now and thats what I am always working towards. I am a hunter, because my mom was and still is a hunter. It feeds me independently and spiritually! I want my daughter to never feel like she has to keep a closed mind for the comfort of others. I want her to always trust in her imagination and to have fun. Creating experiences and living off of what she wants to do the most! I grabbed a bunch of fabric from a  friend and painted my face how I envisioned it, did my hair in knots, and hooked my baby up too! 

I know there are other mother hunters out there!!! Where you at!? Lets create and KEEP creating all while being an example!

So Hard to say Good Bye ;(

Wahhh. That's my crying noise ;( ... I leave NYC in about 3hrs and I am so sad. I sent Gavin a text telling him to fly here with the baby so that I can just keep enjoying myself! This has been the best trip ever in so many ways! Summer time in New York really is the best. I went to go buy a charger from CVS at 10pm, thinking I was going to be walking in the dark alone ​but no there were people everywhere. Literally. The streets were full! People jogging, laughing , eating, interacting. It seems people spend less time on their phones. I love watching humans interact. It really is a beautiful thing! Such a dope place ahhhh one day I'll be able to stay for months at a time. Mark my words :) 

I miss my family but I have to say, having me time felt really good, not only do I not have to change diapers for a couple of days, I get a big bed all to myself lol. All jokes aside, I get thinking room. Time for my brain to just expand and I was able to think for myself. Able to be selfish with my thoughts and just spend time with my art and God. I did alot of praying ​this trip. A lot of random exploring, a lot of self reflecting. A lot of centering myself so that when I go back to LA I have a clear game plan. It's difficult being an ambitious mom and wanting to do so much but your thoughts are incomplete because you're watching after the baby. I was able to have full thoughts and pray on them. It felt really good to feel free again.

New York travels

There was a moment in time I wanted to move to New York so bad! I never visited but I just wanted to leave California! I stopped myself from going because I knew in my heart I would travel for work there some day. Welp, 3 yrs later, here I am. Going back and fourth to NY very often for work. It's a great get away. There are so many things I love about this beautiful place! I think what I love most is the family culture. You see families everywhere, all the time. In the park, walking home from work or school. It's just the things In California you do behind closed doors with your family, New York you see it at hand and it's such a beautiful thing. I really smile everytime I see a family lol. The housing is so cool also, buildings everywhere, open places to eat so you can people watch 👀 ... LOTS of walking so you can get that cardio in lol! Great eats, took me a while to find good grub but this time around I was more adventurous. I literally wake up in the morning, workout, and head out to explore. I wish I had Peace with me. It's a challenge for me to turn off that side of my brain but I am learning each time. Here are some pics of me just exploring for those of you who have never been :)

Ok so in the meat packing district there is this place called doughnuterry and they have all these amazing flavored doughnuts ! Omg! They are mini doughnuts and so flavorful. I got cinnamon sugar and pumpkin brûlée. Last time I had pistachio and Lavender. The girls put me on to this spot so I make sure no matter how in shape I'm trying to get, I like to live a little when coming out here! ( located inside Chelsea Market)

M.I.N.D OFF, Ice Cream ON !

Owwweeee I'm vibin while writing this post right now. Eryaku badu " Window Seat" causing my cranium to bob back and fourth. Her music does something to my soul. Oldie but goodie ( inserts prayer hands ) 

Ok so I thought it would be appropriate to always start my entries with what I am going through followed by what Peace and I did for the day. I mean, I am still Fee but I am also a mom... Even though we were at the ice cream shop doesn't mean that I wasn't having my own personal thoughts as a human being. Moms have their lives too lol . People tend to forget that, especially the mamas that have independence burning at their core.

One thing about being a young"er" mom is that you are kind of forced to figure yourself out. Well not necessarily forced but if willing and open to change the shit comes super fast! Right when I thought I had it all figured out, I swear I found out I knew nothing lol. The journey of life has many emotions attached to it. Many trials, blessings, a mix of things. Having a child  forces me to look in the mirror and mold myself and my life how I would want it to be. What truly makes me happy? What are some things I can get rid of? What should I practice for balance? What are some childhood problems  I may still need to face now that I have my own child? Its all a journey and I am constantly reminded that. One thing I am learning is to be patient on this damn thing lol. Just being in the moment as much as possible. Doing lots of cool artsy stuff and just trying to get out of my own way! Lets do this together :) 

On this day Peace Bear and I went to one of my favorite ice cream spots! Sweet Rose Creamery While I was pregnant I ate here very often. Maybe too often lol. Shit, 60lbs later I started to roll my eyes at this place whenever I drove by lmbo. The evolution of a human is hard to wrap my mind around. One day Im feeding my baby ice cream through an umbilical cord, than 11 months later, I am feeding her the same ice cream from a spoon. Im a deep thinker if you haven't been able to tell ha!

 Peace loved this place! So much to were her little butt got a brain freeze as you can see lol! The flavors are amazing! We had coconut flavor, so creamy and fresh! They make their own ice cream which is really cool. The setting is super cute, they are family friendly so it was nice to see Peace scream at the other kids trying to get their attention. So friendly lol! Great way to cool down being that LA has been insanely hot lately! Park across the street if you even want to just stroll after. Try as many samples as you want ( vegan options too ;)) Sometimes when Im in my mind too much getting away to get ice cream eases me. Pay attention to things that lower your stress levels and do more of that. Thank for swinging by :))
